About the Conference

Over 300 attendees joined us April 9-10, 2013 at The Catholic University of America to hear from leading scholars, policymakers, and practitioners and to discuss topics such as human rights today, development, nuclear agenda, reconciliation, the environment & peace, theology of peacebuilding, and more.

The conference began Tuesday morning with Mass and included several speeches by key scholars and policymakers alternated with breakout sessions on compelling topics in peacebuilding today before concluding in the late afternoon Wednesday, April 10.

On April 8 an affiliated graduate student conference took place at the Catholic University of America. Papers dealing with Pacem in terris directly, the ethics and practice of peacebuilding, or related topics in the areas of theology, ethics, and political science were presented.
