The Democratic Republic of the Congo Conference of Catholic Bishops' "A Cry of Distress and Protest"

The Bishops and Archbishops members of the Permanent Committee of the Congolese Conference of Catholic Bishops, congregated in Kinshasa, expressed what they called “a cry of distress and protest” against violence in the East and the North-East side of the country. The message, issued during a special session of bishops, denounced the “unacceptable” increase in the levels of violence as well as the existence of a “humanitarian tragedy” that threaten the stability of the region.
