Enhancing the study and practice of Catholic peacebuilding

Bishop Ricard at 5th CPN Conference

The Institute for Theology and Peace is a research institution of the Catholic Church. It was established in 1978 and is actively engaged in research projects on peace ethics. It publishes the series “Theologie und Frieden” (Theology and Peace) and “Beiträge zur Friedensethik” (Contributions on Peace Ethics), has a library, and documents the literature comprehensively. See their online bibliography.

Charles K. Bellinger developed this one on religion and violence. An expanded version of this bibliography was published in The Hedgehog Review, Institute for Advance Studies in Culture, University of Virginia.

Fr. Jean Nyembo, an MA student at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, provided considerable support to CPN as a research assistant and developed this bibliography on the Great Lakes Region of Africa, though it covers peacemaking more broadly as well.
