On October 11, 12 and 13, 2017, the National Social Pastoral Secretariat of the Colombian Episcopal Conference held the VIII National Reconciliation Congress, which had the theme: “Colombia is capable of reconciliation.”
The VIII Reconciliation Congress took place in a new context, after the definitive signing of the peace agreements with the FARC in November 2016, and after the visit of Pope Francis in October, 2017. Religious communities, youth, media, organizations and the community in general, nearly seven hundred people committed to Peace and reconciliation, meet in Cartagena to deepen, strengthen, and join forces to consolidate peace.
