"Women religious and the Northern Irish Troubles" was a lecture given May 8 by Briege Rafferty and Dianne Kirby celebrating the launch of the Women Religious Project at the Las Casas Institute for Social Justice, Blackfriars Hall, Oxford, an affiliate member of CPN. The Women Religious Project is writing a history of women religious in conflict zones and creating a dedicated archive preserving these important life stories. It is run by scholars brought together by a concern that the important work of women religious in conflict zones around the world is largely disregarded in mainstream histories and accounts of peacebuilding. Such neglect has serious consequences in terms of the accuracy of the historical record and a full understanding of conflict resolution.
